Why ocean matters to living beings.
As everything is related, oceans are also related to our existence. Generally when we visit some sea shores or beach or fly over oceans we come across this vast and deep entity. So we generally don't recognise its role in our existence. But actually there are many reasons due to which we should be grateful to oceans and start caring about oceans.
We will explore only one such reason in logical manner.
Phytoplankton – tiny plant-like organisms that live in the sea – are generating around 50% of the oxygen on Earth and consuming huge amount of carbon dioxide.
Just like land-based plants, these plants contain chlorophyll which captures sunlight and through the process of photosynthesis convert it into the energy they need, producing oxygen as a byproduct. They also consume huge amount of carbon dioxide.
Be it Bali Yatra(celebrated in Odisha) or story of samudra manthan or or story of Kurma Avatar or Ganga Sagar Pooja on Makar Sankranti or Dariyal ki Jay (celebrated by sindhi's)....list is long.... Indian Culture had always respected oceans... Reminder... to be grateful to Oceans.
Start respecting and caring oceans, which is responsible for our existence.
